I’ve partnered with Designer & Architect Ahmet Mahir Karat of Karat Design to bring this turnkey furniture and installation service to Cayman
I first met my Ahmet back in 2019 while I was working on a unit that needed interior design and furnishings here in Cayman. He helped me with design options and his entire process from start to finish just seemed so seamless. When our container arrived on island, everything was carefully packaged and nothing was damaged. I was shocked at how everything was so easy to find with each room being labeled perfectly.
As we unpacked the furniture, I couldn’t help but notice the quality of each piece. I personally think Cayman needs more of this as an option for home buyers; from its service, selection, and shipping process. We began to discuss a partnership and the opportunities where we could help our clients and provide them with another level of guidance when it came to interior design for their properties.
Our Partnership Story
Fun fact: I’ve always loved arts and crafts. I loved to build and put it all together, but, would lack the creativity aspect of it. Working with Ahmet allows me to be a part of that creativity piece that was always absent, where he can focus on the design and I can help put everything together for the finishing touch. As a real estate agent and in my opinion, these two go hand-in-hand.
You know, there’s just something about the look on a client’s face when they see their new finished space. When they’ve last seen an empty property, to something whole and complete. I just love this so much. The beds are made, lights installed, curtains are hung, and all the plates and kitchenware are perfectly place in their cupboards. Priceless.
Where Creative Meets Strategy
When it comes to real estate and interior design on an island, a few of the biggest hurdles is sourcing materials, dealing with cargo and working against time. We are currently engaged with multiple suppliers all over Europe and are able to produce pieces when the client cannot find what they’re looking for. We package everything in our warehouse in Turkey, and it arrives in Cayman in one shipment.
With Cayman’s horizon filled with pre-construction, new developments, and persons who are building their own homes, we believe that this niche concept is unmatched, and we are so excited to help individuals with their overseas buying needs.

Ahmet Mahir Karat is an accomplished architect and interior designer, best known as the founder of KARAT design LTD. Born in 1981, Ahmet's passion for architecture ignited at a young age. Growing up in his hometown, he was captivated by worksites and interior projects and influenced by his father's prominent furniture company. Fond memories of assisting the company staff in sketching exquisite designs for luxurious hotel furniture still resonate with him today.
Ahmet received a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the University of Aleppo. It was during his time at the Interiors Department of Emaar Dubai that he refined his skills as an Interior Designer, working on prestigious projects with budgets exceeding $10 million. This experience propelled his career to new heights, as he completed his Master’s Degree at the Florence Academy of Design.
A distinguishing strength that Ahmet brings to his projects is his unwavering focus on creating an enjoyable experience for all involved. He believes that the true measure of success lies in the happiness and satisfaction of the clients he serves. With each project, Ahmet strives to ensure that everyone involved feels an undeniable sense of joy and contentment.
